Everyday WORK Makeup | 15min TOPS

 Hey everyone! As you may or may not know Im in the military(GO NAVY!) Often times our schedule is so demanding we don't have much time to get ready but if you're someone like me then you make time haha My thing is, I have to at least cover up my dark circles and pretend that my life is well maintained so my junior personnel can be a mirror of that to our fellow crew. Like, yeah we work crazy hours and barely sleep but we STILL look good af! haha maybe that's just me but whatever. This is a "no makeup - makeup look" with DRUGSTORE products that will take you 15min or less, promise.

Hey everyone! I posted a picture to my twitter showcasing my brows and I got retweeted by my fav makeup brand Benefit!! Not a big deal to some but to me it is :) you can find the tweet here. My brows are naturally pretty thick so I just have to fill in the sparse parts and add more definition. I wanted to try all of the products but found them individually sorta pricey but then they came out with a brow kit that had everything I wanted! Love it or Leave it | Dupes

Hey everyone! Recently I've been following a lot of beauty trends and found one on dupes. In this post I'll be showing you a couple of  products I use religiously and their high end/ affordable dupes and which ones I love or which Im gonna have to leave(because of either price or functionality for me).
Starting with my intro pic: I bought the NARS radiant creamy concealer last year and have loved it ever since. Im finally almost out and was about to go buy a new one when I stopped at CVS to pick up a prescription and happened to walk past the makeup section. I saw Wet n Wilds display and wanted to try their new foundation, but was unsuccessful in finding my shade, so I decided to try their Photo focus concealer instead.

ST PATTYS DAY | Green Lipstick | New Products

Hey everyone! The one day wearing all green and drinking Irish car bombs from sunrise to sunset is finally here; St Patrick's Day. There's a legit historical reason for the celebration but I dont want to bore you with my history and facts that may or may not be from Wikipedia. Well, I normally never do much to participate in festivities but today was slightly different because I had a green lipstick. I received the lipstick in a gift bag from GenBeauty(I'll be using products ALL year from that bag I got so much!). I usually stick to nudes so I tried to push myself to be bold today.

Black Mask | Trend | Skincare

Hey everyone! So Im pretty sure you've seen the humorous  video of a woman in excruciating pain as she removes her charcoal mask. It's hilarious and if you haven't seen it I'll link the video here. Based on the video I assumed the intensity of the mask would work wonders on the few blackheads I had. I scrolled through the comments section looking for a link to the mask so I could give it a try. Well, ladies and gentleman, the verdict is in: it works! 

Flower Jelly Lipstick | Trend

Hey everyone! I received my Jelly lipstick in the mail and let me tell you, it's so cute!! This trend first came on my radar last year when Cosmopolitan featured it on their site. After reading the article I all of a sudden started to see pictures of the lipstick popping up everywhere. The brand that was stirring all the trendy pics is Kailijumei(22$). The brand in my picture is not that but I got it at a fraction of the price(1$) with an identical concept.

Selfie Lighting | Affordable

Hey everyone! You may or may not know that Im pretty much a self proclaimed "Selfie Queen" ;) I will not stop until I get a good pic for the gram or my Snapchat(@campbellsoup010). Some might say Im narcissistic but I strongly disagree. You wont ever catch me having a selfie session if my hair/makeup/outfit weren't on point. I feel like pulling together a great head to toe ensemble is an art because most people aren't that talented...*instantly thinks of their aunt who wants to fit in with the young kids so bad* So why not show off your talent??! My logic exactly! Going out at night, or having crazy California weather,  you dont always have ideal lighting so I began my search for some help.

YOUNG HOME OWNERS

From the beginning I was quiet about it on my social media accounts because I feared something might go wrong and we wouldn't get the house. Eventually I was just like, ok I dont care. We JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE!! I started to post subliminal pictures on my snapchat of an empty lot and add a house emoji. I did it to track progress in a fun way until more development had been made. Those who knew me already knew what it meant because I was so excited I never shut up haha Talking about how we customized our home and having one built from the ground up was nothing but a blessing! Since sharing more pictures and posts many people have asked me questions...Like, how we did it/ cost etc...I made a post to talk about our home buying experience because I get so many of the same questions haha *Im no real estate agent Im just talking about what we did and explaining from my level of understanding on what I can* Bare with me & enjoy, its a long one!

Naomi's Birth Story

Where I've been

I sort of took an impromptu vacation from blogging. At first I had planned to document everything then life got really cray and I figured if I at least updated my Instagram (@crystalbock) that those who follow my blog can still be somewhat connected. Another reason I sort of went MIA was because I lost my laptop charger and could not find it anywhere in the house :( Until recently it was lost in oblivion then a few days ago I just rechecked a spot I'd triple checked before and THERE IT WAS! I think I was being set up haha but the break from blogging was nice. Before I was so focused on making sure I took a good "blog" photo when we were out that I annoyed everyone...oops haha well since so much has happened I wont make this post extra long & I'll eventually make separate posts for some stuff. So, lets get to it!

Here's the Scoop

Props to the full time blogger moms! One of my goals this year was to be more consistent and Im failing miserably haha but one thing that isn't is my household. Ya girl is holding it down! Full time military momma, wife, chef, maid, pregnant woman...you name it! I do get stressed and my husband does his best to give me "ME" time but I choose naps & pedicures over blogging haha I have a ton of drafts of awesome things and I'll tweak and post this week :) Also, I love my new blog layout etc but certainly things aren't displaying how I want them to so that's also been a reason I've avoided blogging. If you know how to help pleaseeeee email me! Or comment whatever. So yeah, since my last post get ready for the scoop of the century! Joking ;) but let me update you all:

Another Weekend Well Spent

Most of us lucky enough had a four day weekend and I hope yours was great :) It was in honor of Martin Luther King. I dont want to give you a history lesson but you can look up all of his accomplishments while he was on Earth. Pretty amazing man. Well Friday was the first off day I had and I literally did nothing except play with with my daughter all day. That little girl is active! haha that night my brother in law and his girlfriend Miranda drove down to hang with us too :) the following day my in laws drove down and we all went to watch my husband play in his basketball league. After being undefeated they lost their first game ;/ so upsetting but they still have the best record! We all came home, ate pizza, watched movies and then said goodbye to my in laws. On our Sunday Funday we had a double date and went to Mission Beach! The intention was for the guys to work out and we eat and just hang out but we ended up just eating and hanging out. Everyone(except me) surprisingly had homework to do so once we got back we said our good byes to Miranda and Andrew then my husband went to work on his Grad school homework. It was like that the rest of the weekend for him and for myself; mom duties! Im excited for our newest addition to bring some more chaos to this home ;)

How I spent my weekend

This weekend I spent it hanging out with my husband, our daughter, my brother in law(UOP Alumni) and his girlfriend Miranda watching a UOP vs LMU basketball game! The game was at LMU in Los Angeles so we busted a quick trip from San Diego to catch it. Unfortunately, us girls missed the first half of the game because of some confusion with guest tickets from Andrew's friend but during half time he brought us some. I honestly would have been fine sitting in the car like we were enjoying our girl talk haha Im really glad I met her and that he's with her because of how well we click and how much of a good person she is. Cant wait to see what's in store for their future :) Ok back to my weekend; UOP won the game!! Close too and had the guys on the edge of their seats. After the game we drove to King Taco (MY MOST FAVORITE IN THE HISTORY OF LIFE PLACE FOR FOOD ON EARTH) :D after that we drove back to their place and picked our car to drive back to San Diego. Pictures are sorta out of order but Sunday we laid around like sacks of potatoes and watched Making a Murderer on Netflix(thanks Miranda!). So good and makes me so angry at how evil people can be. Based on my opinion, without giving too much away, the guy is innocent. But hey, watch and make your own judgements. Later that night I made a Krispy Kreme run. The regular glaze donut machine at the Claremont Mesa location is broken so they give you 20 mini donuts for less than the price of a regular dozen, FYI! & so that was my weekend. With the upcoming observance nearing for this weekend Im thinking of things to do. Hope your plans are awesome!

Rainy Days

For those of us in SOCAL we've been enjoying some much needed rain. One of the reasons Im(just me, Bryan loves California) considering buying a house in Washington, the RAIN! It's my favorite type of weather. When it rains I turn into mush and want to stay inside all warm and binge watch Netflix. Buuuuut Im a mom so yes, Im inside but Im keeping warm by playing with this energetic little girl haha The above picture is one I took of my friends back in Hawaii when they got engaged. Looking back at old albums I got really happy and THAT warmed my heart. TAKING PICTURES IS EVERYTHING! A good picture, art, anything really beautiful visually is just perfection. I took that with my DSLR by Nikon(D3100 with a separately bought lens). Getting back to it soon for sure :) enjoy the rainy day!

Motivational Monday

Ugh so my blog is still under construction...but there are just a few things I need to add and things to adjust so it'll be done by mid week. Hopefully! Anyway, I still plan on continuing my Mondays filled with motivational quotes or just catchy songs. Today's is just a reminder to go out and kick butt this week! Last week might not have been a good one but this one definitely can be :) Its so frustrating being around people who are constantly so negative and Im just internally rolling my eyes to the ceiling whenever I find myself near them. Maybe it's just easier for me to find good in things but we should all try to be positive. If it's hard for you I can help. Not saying Im a therapist but I am a good listener. Cheers to a good week!
