Being a temporary stay at home mom(still on maternity leave) I excitedly look forward to the weekend! If I dont have major plans it means my husband is off work so we can go on a date or something....& I can get more rest because he'll be on "daddy duty". In this case, a few family members are visiting for the weekend so we'll see whats in store for us :) Enjoy your weekend!

In honor of today I found some really cute lipstick pics & I threw in a selfie of me wearing my new favorite: Cherry Bomb by Wet n Wild.(a steal at $1.99!) Its actually a little more glossy than it looks in the picture but my sister taught me a cool trick to matte it out. All you have to do is apply the lipstick and dab your lips with translucent powder until it looks matte enough for you. What's your favorite color? Im always willing to try something new :) & in closing here's a fierce quote:

"Give a woman the right lipstick and she can conquer the world"

Ouch!

Yesterday my daughter had her two month physical exam and got 3 shots! It's so true when people say that it's harder on you than it is them. She cried as I held her legs still and the nurse gave her the shots but after that she was fine. Ok maybe a little soreness and a faint cry but still, she did great! Me on the other hand? Borderline cry sesh in front of the nurse. haha I snapped a couple pictures of her during her visit to the doctor and Im so blessed she's not a fussy baby!knock on wood Nearby I could hear screaming babies getting the same physical as Olivia and here she is smiling & cooperating :) I love her!!

This next picture cracks me up because after her physical we were standing by for the nurse to come back and I was like "Hey mama you're about to get some shots..." and I doubt she understood me but her face when I said it was priceless!

Livi is in a diaper most of these pictures because 1.she always has to get undressed for dr appointments 2.she spit up on her outfit prior to this visit & 3.if you read her Two Month update then you would know she loves being "naked".I have a separate post for her facial expressions too haha Thanking God for her good health :) BLESSED

Two Months

at home pictures by me Olivia Anne is TWO MONTHS! She weighs 10lbs 15oz and is 23in long(that was 2weeks ago...she's probably more now). She gets her vaccinations next week. She is allergic to milk so we had to switch to soy. Our hungry little hippo eats between 4-6oz each feeding :) Liv STILL has a head full of STRAIGHT hair! She follows our voices with her eyes, loves Baby Einstein and Wallykazam Wallykazoo haha Every night after her last feeding she stays awake to hear a prayer from her little prayer book(we got it at the baby shower from our cousin) then she falls asleep. She's sleeping through the night :D (yay us!) When her diaper is dirty she will let everyone know in the best way she knows how, CRY! She loves being naked and lounging around. But she doesn't mind getting dolled up :) Olivia LOVES baths! This month she's been many places but just loves a good walk with family around the house or anywhere she can lift her head to look. She laughs and smiles alot more now(I didn't catch them in pictures tho, she was in diva mode). So many new things are going on with her Im blessed to watch her grow :) love you!!

Watching him play brings back so many memories...we've been together since higschool so I've cheered him on then, in college and now in all local leagues but with our baby girl! So fun :) I get really into the whole support system and get so many things customized to show my support. I wish I had pictures of all my cool outfits haha maybe I'll find them and post some pics later. They barelyyyyyy lost the game and the team they played had gone undefeated. Definitely gave them a run for their money! So proud to be his wife and I'm glad to share my superstar with our daughter. His number one fans! :)

The 'Earth' without 'Art' is just 'Eh'

You might know, or maybe you dont, that I love taking pictures! If Im not taking them I love looking at them. That's why my blog is so visual. Just a sucker for pretty things. Growing up I loved decorating and loved projects where I can showcase my individuality. My siblings always joke how Im the "jolly" one out of all of us because of how overly corny I can get with holidays. Well anyway, a couple years ago when instagram wasn't as big as it is today, I found a really cool picture on the popular page and when I clicked on the profile I was led to Charmaine Olivia(also where the idea for our daughters name came about). Instantly I fell in love with all her work and how her art celebrated women in a new light. Here she is:

The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer c1665 That painting is my all time favorite!! I read the book 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier as a senior in highschool for fun and that too became one of my favorite books. Its a fictional story about how the painting came to be and there's even an old movie on it. Scarlett Johansson plays Greet(the girl in the painting). To end this, whatever you do that makes you happy whether its taking pictures, writing, singing, dancing, drawing..it's all an art. Continue to do what makes your soul happy.

My little cuties two month update is in the works! Two months will officially have gone by this Friday but I couldn't help myself with this picture. I love how she's puckering her lips! Just like mama :) Love love loooooove her!!

a pic from last year in Peru I finally got around to meeting up with one of my really good friends.(She drove all the way out to my baby shower) She's always stuck around despite how crazy our schedules got. We've got a pretty solid age gap but we just gel and can talk forever! It was her first time meeting Olivia in person and we met up in La Jolla at Sprinkles! What pregnant girl doesn't love cupcakes right? haha not me but SHE'S pregnant!! Baby coming next year :) We sat and ate our cupcakes & talked for awhile then we decided to pick up and head to the beach nearby. Neither of us were dressed for the beach because it had been so spontaneous so we pushed Olivia along the sidewalk then sat in the park across from the water to do more talking! Crazy how two people can just pick up like no pause in communication ever happened. A great day!
